Deep Tissue Massage
Deep Tissue Massage is a technique that releases deeply held patterns of tension found in muscles damaged by miss-use or over-work. It is both corrective and soothing.
When muscles are stressed, they block oxygen and nutrients, leading to inflammation that builds up toxins in the muscle tissue. This technique helps loosen the tissues, release toxins from the muscle and get blood and oxygen circulating properly.
A deep-tissue massage is particularly useful in treating neck, shoulder and lower back problems generally suffered by office workers and drivers as well as general sports injuries.
This technique can be used as a stand alone therapy to treat specific problems of as part of a general Swedish massage.
